The Schatkamer - NAi

The Schatkamer (treasure chamber) is the Netherlands Architecture permanent exhibition that displays 100 of the most prized objects from the NAi’s extensive archive. The Schatkamer has works on display of Dutch architecture history icons like Cuypers, Dudok and Oud.

Every bit as special as the collection inside the NAi is OMA’s design for the Schatkamer itself. The great hall houses a 250m2 space where anticipation slowly builds. Maquettes, drawings, sketches and photos from the NAi’s rich collection can be found here behind the glass, along with Berlage’s c1900 sketchbook from Italy, Koolhaas’ studies for the Kunsthal and Rietveld’s models of the Zigzag chair
